Fall Changes at Bowdie’s
Many Michiganders day-tripping to Saugatuck — a long trip for many from the east side of the state — make Bowdie’s a must-do when they visit. Fall is the season of change, and this fall Bowdie’s is embracing that idea. This November, Bowdie’s is opening a brand new location that will be a little closer to home for many of our guests. We are excited to join the Lansing community and serve another great Michigan town. Our new restaurant will share the menu with our current restaurant, continuing to deliver the quality food and service that our guests have come to expect from Bowdie’s. We have been busy making sure everything is perfect for our opening this November. We will be located at 320 East Michigan Avenue. Stop in this holiday season for a cozy dinner with family and friends. Our intimate dining room and unique cocktail list will turn any gathering into the perfect celebration.
Our new restaurant has given us the opportunity to expand our staff family. Our talented staff has been selected because of what they individually bring to Bowdie’s. Their impeccable service, culinary, and bartending skills make dining experiences that our guests remember. We love finding and encouraging talented culinary artists and watching them flourish in our kitchen. Executive Chef Jason Campbell is passionate about educating and fostering creativity in young chefs. Grand Rapids native, Lilah Plaggemars will be joining our team as the sous-chef at Bowdie’s in Lansing. An honors graduate of Grand Rapids Community College’s highly respected SICE program, Secchia Institute of Culinary Education, Lilah has had many opportunities to fine-tune her skills in the kitchen. In fact, she has just returned to Michigan from an adventure in Hawaii. As an intern at Merriman’s in Kapalua, Maui, she was quickly promoted to assistant manager. We know that she will be a great addition and are excited to see the new ideas she brings to Bowdie’s Lansing.
